In this true biopic, Mimi details the danger that lurks behind the walls of human sex trafficking. As a survivor she believes that by sharing her experiences with readers, she can educate them on what to look for in current victims of human trafficking and help identify those who are behind such horrendous acts. In her tell all she delves into the traumas she persevered through from childhood through young adulthood. Mimi also speaks about her wish to pay it forward in the name of the brave stranger who she now refers to as the D.C Angel, who saved her from her trafficker and pimp. Her hope is that her story can reach and inspire others to pay it forward.
